Site Administrator - Mount Pleasant
Description
Mount Pleasant is Tenth Church’s largest congregation, a vibrant site home to a diverse, multi-generational community of students, young adults, families, seniors, newcomers, and long-time residents. As our community continues to grow, we are looking for a proactive leader who is passionate about connecting with people and is keen to build and manage systems that sustain our momentum.
The Site Administrator works alongside the Site Pastor, Associate and Discipleship Pastors, volunteer leaders, and ministry teams to support adult ministries on Sundays while ensuring smooth operations, strong volunteer support, and well-organized events. This role further oversees the planning and execution of the Weekend Away, an annual retreat for the MP community. This person must be passionate about Jesus, His church, and His people, possessing strong interpersonal and organizational gifts while embodying a servant’s heart, maturity, and integrity.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
Administration Support & Communications (40%)
- Support the Site Pastor with special projects and MP team initiatives
- Oversee MP site communications, crafting the weekly newsletter, serving as liaison for staff and community, and managing promotions
- Maintain the MP planning, promotions and events calendars
- Project support and coordination for larger Tenth-wide services: Christmas concerts, Easter, Christmas Eve
- Serve on core committees as required representing MP, including the Health & Safety Committee
- Participate in MP team meetings, staff meetings, trainings, and retreats as required
Volunteer Leadership & Systems Management (25%)
- Point of contact for Sunday volunteer administration; schedule and support 50-60 volunteers across two Sunday services
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding for Sunday ministry and service teams: Connections, Communion, Hospitality, Prayer
- Act as MP Planning Center Online Services expert, ensuring efficient systems and information management for the MP team and volunteers
- Equip volunteer leaders to maintain high standards of hospitality, safety and care
Sundays & Site Connection (20%)
- Provide administrative oversight and support for two Sunday services (in-person required)
- Support the administration and execution of Connection Lunches hosted by the Site Pastor (in-person required)
- Oversee front-of-house logistics to ensure a welcoming environment for the congregation
- Support the planning of additional MP events as needed
Weekend Away Retreat (15%)
- Lead, plan and implement the annual Weekend Away retreat in conjunction with the staff team
- Act as the project lead accountable to the Site Pastor for all retreat logistics and execution
- Note: Workload is annualized; hours scale to 10-20 hours on the month of the event
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Post-secondary education in Business, Volunteer, or Non-Profit Administration, Ministry, or a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to create a positive environment for volunteers that encourages effective results and increased volunteerism
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision
- Experience with high-volume logistics and administrative systems in a community setting
- Proficiency in Planning Center Online (PCO), MS365, and digital communication tools are strong assets
- Strong cultural intelligence and a collaborative team player who can navigate conflict within a diverse, multi-site church community
- A teachable spirit and growth mindset; with a desire to learn and evolve
- Relational with a heart for connecting with people from all walks of life
- Spiritual maturity and evidence of ongoing personal spiritual formation
- Authentic faith in Christ and a deep commitment to the mission of Tenth Church
- Committed to attending Tenth Church if hired
This is a full-time position that works 32 hours per week. Salary is commensurate with experience; the salary range for this position is $45,000 - $50,000 per annum.
