Spiritual Formation Intern

Are you sensing a calling to pastoral ministry?  

You have experience in leadership, teaching and facilitation, and discipleship. Your talent includes communication and administrative skills, and ability to teach and facilitate discussion. You are faithful, intentional, and teachable with an authentic growing faith in Christ.  

We want to equip you to live for Christ and provide learning opportunities to help you discern your calling.  

We are looking for a Spiritual Formation Intern who will collaborate closely with our Pastor of Spiritual Formation to support and
co-facilitate courses, workshops, and contemplative prayer nights. 


Ways You Will Contribute
  • Provide course, workshop, and event support and co-facilitate: 
  • Host a table at courses and workshops. 
  • Serve and provide up-front presence in a video-based course (e.g., Alpha, Bible Course, etc.), at least occasionally. 
  • If ready, willing, and gifted, teach content and/or facilitate a prayer experience. 
  • Receive coaching and feedback. 
  • Learn processes from start to finish from initial ideas all the way through to execution. 
  • Research for content development. 
  • Support life group ministry. 
  • Support administratively and logistically as needed: 
  • Help with set up and clean up for courses and events. 
  • Occasionally support the ministry assistant to learn other important tasks behind the scenes, which are all part of the ministry. 
 

What You Bring:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Current graduate student preferred.
  • Good communicator. 
  • Administrative ability or willingness to learn.
  • Able to set goals and carry them out to completion. 
  • Experience in leadership, spiritual formation, and discipleship. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative style. 
  • Able to give and receive candid feedback.
  • Possess an authentic, growing faith in Christ, and spiritual maturity. 
  • Sense of calling to pastoral ministry. 
  • Faithful, intentional, and teachable. 
 
This is an internship from mid-September to late-May with an unpaid break in December. Work hours are 10 hours per week (Hours and timeframe negotiable to match your requirements for supervised ministry/internship).

Salary: $17.40 per hour
