CREO Youth Administrative Assistant  
(Two Positions - 2024 Canada Summer Jobs Grant (*Subject to funding by the Canada Summer Jobs 2024 program) 

Do you have a passion for working with kids or for spreading God’s love throughout our city? You have exceptional organizational skills and excel in coordinating community events. You want to help youth connect to Tenth Local and Global initiatives and student leadership opportunities.   

Come join our CREO Youth Team this summer to provide administrative and event support to our CREO Youth Team.  

Tenth Church is a vibrant multi-ethnic, multi-generational, and multi-site church located in the heart of Vancouver.  
 

Ways You Will Contribute:
  • Provide administrative support to the CREO Youth Team.  
  • Help prepare Tenth community events for youth needing belonging in the city. 
  • Collaborate and organize youth service opportunities and connecting to Tenth Local/Global Initiatives. 
  • Assist with student leadership experiences for youth making a difference in Vancouver. 
  • Assist the Family Ministry Assistant in preparing and planning for the 2024-2025 ministry year.  
  • Provide support for the CREO Youth Team site representatives.  
  

What You Bring:   
  • Must meet the guidelines for the Canada Youth Summer Jobs Grant (see below)  
  • Previous experience with children and/or youth.  
  • Administrative ability and attention to detail. 
  • Exceptional organizational and coordination skills. 
  • Able to organize resources as well as manage goals and timelines.  
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft 365; Planning Center; Canva; social platforms).  
  • Ability to work well with a team.  
  • Flexible schedule and attitude. 
  • Proactive and takes initiative.  
  • Possess an authentic faith and walk with Jesus.  
  • Support of Tenth Church’s mission, vision, and values. 
  • Read, understand, and comply with Tenth Church Staff Handbook.  
 
 
Eligibility Criteria:  
  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.  
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment*  
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.  
 
 
This is a summer contract hourly position where you will work 40 hours per week (subject to 2024 Canada Summer Job funding). The contract will commence in May and end at the end of August 2024. 
 
Salary: $18.00 per hour
